St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School held graduation ceremonies Friday at the school. Bishop McManus conferred diplomas.

The close-knit, 13-member class of 2019 graduated from St. Mary High School in a ceremony held in St. Paul Cathedral Friday evening.

WORCESTER – With cheering, smiling, waving of diplomas, graduates of the College of the Holy Cross celebrated their commencement May 24 at DCU Center.

Four retirements; one senior priest; seven first time pastors or directors; nine pastors/associates transferring, two new administrators and two first assignments.

The African Ministry launched its participation in the Legacy of Hope capital campaign and celebrated Bishop McManus’ 15th anniversary Sunday.

Bishop McManus is to ordain nine men permanent deacons at a 10 a.m. Mass June 1 at St. Paul Cathedral, 15 Chatham St., Worcester. All are welcome to attend.

WEBSTER – The day revolved around the children of St. Joseph Elementary School, and tributes were paid to long-time pastor Msgr. Anthony S. Czarnecki.

Bishop McManus told the graduates of St. John's High School, Shrewsbury, that the role of Catholic education is to instill the love of Truth.

Bishop McManus has announced the transfers of two pastors, effective May 24. It is the first of several transfers to be announced.

Mandating a consistent global response to this threat on children, young people and vulnerable adults is a major milestone, making it clear that any cover-up of child sexual abuse is never acceptable. I look forward to the June plenary session of the Bishops of the United States when we discuss how we can implement the Motu Proprio. This will strengthen the work in our country which has been made possible by the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, which has effectively guided our efforts for seventeen years.
