Assumption College was the site of the 2015 Diocesan Science Fair on Thursday, May 28. One hundred ninety-eight participants representing eighteen schools competed. These students had each been winners in the science fairs held at their individual schools.
May 28, 2015 WORCESTER, MA – On Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of St. Paul, Worcester, Most Rev. Robert J. McManus, S.T.D., will ordain seven men to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Worcester. All are welcome to the ordination Mass. The liturgy will be delay broadcast on Charter TV3 (Ch. 193) on Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 pm and Wednesday, June 10 at 9:30 am. The seven men to be permanent deacons are Christopher Finan, Bryan Lagimoniere, David Lajoie, Thomas Marshall, Van Nguyen, Paul Reuter, and Thomas Varney.
A letter from Bishop McManus was distributed at all Masses at Holy Spirit, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Parishes on the weekend of May 23 and 24 announcing the name of the new parish effective July 1, 2015. The decree establishing Annunciation Parish was read at all the Masses.
It was truly a “Grand Night for Singing” at St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School on Saturday May 16. High School Students presented “An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein.”
Father William Sanders and Father Adam Reid have named Mr. David Grenier as Implementation Coordinator for All Saints Academy which is due to open in the fall of 2016.
