Cathedral of St. Paul and Diocesan TV Ministry announce Holy Week schedule March 30, 2015, WORCESTER, MA --Catholics are invited to join Bishop McManus in celebrating the liturgies of Holy Week this year at Cathedral of St. Paul, or by cable TV or the internet.
The Cathedral of St. Paul has announced the schedule of liturgies at which Most Reverend Robert J. McManus, Bishop of Worcester, will be the principal celebrant. All are welcome to join with parishioners at these solemn liturgies at the Cathedral Church located at the corner of High and Chatham Streets, Worcester. Handicapped parking and access is available from the lower Chatham Street courtyard.
For those who are homebound or otherwise unable to make it to church on Holy week, TV Ministry of the Diocese of Worcester will once again broadcast these special liturgies from the Cathedral of St. Paul on Charter Cable TV3 (cable channel #193) for Holy Week. They can also be viewed online as streaming video on the diocesan website, worcesterdiocese.org, within a few hours after the conclusion of each liturgy.
The schedule is as follows:
Chrism Mass on March 31 begins at 10:30 am and is a LIVE broadcast until Noon.
Holy Thursday on April 2 begins at 7:30 pm and is a LIVE broadcast until 9 pm.
Good Friday on April 3 begins at 3 pm and is a LIVE broadcast until 4:30 pm
The Solemn Easter Vigil on April 4 begins at 7:30 pm and is a LIVE broadcast until 10 pm.
All are welcome to join with Bishop McManus in celebrating the rich traditions of the Catholic faith which are captured in the rituals of Holy Week. Join in celebrating the blessing of new oils for healing and sanctification at Chrism Mass. Commemorate the washing of the disciples feet at the Last Supper on Holy Thursday. Remember and reflect on the passion and death of Jesus on the first Good Friday. Join with the communion of saints on the Easter Vigil at the news of Christ’s resurrection.
