28 Priests Receive New Assignments for July

Seven pastors to retire and four priests receive first parochial assignments

June 15, 2012, WORCESTER, MA –Most Reverend Robert J. McManus, S.T.D., Bishop of Worcester, announced the following clergy assignments today to be effective June 30, 2012.
Rev. Ernest P. Allega, from pastor St. Thomas-a-Becket Parish, South Barre, to pastor St. Denis Parish, East Douglas.



Rev. Timothy M. Brewer, from pastor Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Leominster, to pastor St. Mary Parish, Jefferson.


Rev. Paul F. Campbell, from pastor St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Dudley, to retirement.


Rev. William N. Cormier, from pastor St. Denis Parish, East Douglas, to retirement.

There are currently 135 active priests in the Diocese of Worcester, including four priests ordained in June, and 46 retired priests.
