Catholic Schools Science Fair 2011
On May 18, 2011, more than one hundred young student "scientists" in grades 5 through 8 enrolled in Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Worcester demonstrated their creative talents at the annual Catholic Schools Science Fair held at the Plourde Center at Assumption College in Worcester.
A wide range of topics featured in the exhibits included arthritis, to gravity, to how a dog's nose works. The students had previously won an award at local school contests in order to qualify for the diocesan-wide fair.
Participants represented the following schools:
Worcester: Holy Name Jr. High, Our Lady of the Angels, St. Mary, St. Peter-Marian Jr. High, St. Stephen and Venerini Academy
Gardner: Our Lady of the Holy Rosary and Sacred Heart
Leominster: St. Anna and St. Leo
Milford: Milford Catholic Academy
Millbury: Assumption School
Northboro: St. Bernadette
Shrewsbury: St. Mary
Southbridge: Trinity Catholic Academy
Uxbridge: Our Lady of the Valley
Webster: St. Anne, St. Joseph, and St. Louis
