A panel discussion will be presented at St. George Church Hall, 40 Brattle Street, Worcester on
Wednesday, May 27 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Responding to the USCCB Pastoral Message, “Confronting a Culture of Violence” and the statements of Pope Francis as to the extreme dangers resulting from “indifference”. Panel members are from the Worcester Police Department, the Worcester County Family Court that serve Worcester, Holden and surrounding towns, and workers from Daybreak, a shelter for women experiencing domestic violence as well as victims of human trafficking in our community. They will inform the attendees as to what is happening in our communities, what their departments and agencies are doing and what we as people of faith can do to contribute to more secure and peaceful homes, communities and world. This program is free and open to all. There will be a question and answer period, refreshments and drawings.
